A TOTAL of nine adults were arrested overnight for breaching the ongoing 9 pm-5 am curfew.
In a press release on Sunday, police said the arrests happened in five different policing divisions.
In the Western Division, a 65-year-old Belmont man and a 32-year-old St James woman were arrested.
A 30-year-old Arima man was arrested in the North-Eastern Division, while two 40-year-old men, one from St Joseph and the other from San Juan, were arrested in the Northern Division.
In the Eastern Division, A Princes Town man was arrested, and two Point Fortin men, ages 40 and 33, and a 48-year-old Penal man were arrested in the South-Western Division.
On Saturday, the Prime Minister announced that, beginning on Sunday, a 7pm-5am weekend curfew will be implemented in Trinidad and Tobago. The weekend curfew hours will be applied to Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the remainder of June.
