A 40-year-old Arima man may be charged for a series of offences after he kidnapped a Venezuelan woman from her Wallerfield home on May 31.
Police said the man was arrested at his workplace by the Arima CID and the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) last Friday.
Officers have compiled a file containing evidence which is currently being reviewed by the police legal officer.
Sources said the man may be charged sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Maryeisy Barrios Baldallo, 22, was in the bedroom of her Demerara Road, Wallerfield, home with her husband Jofre Piñero Herrera at around 2.19 am when a group of gunmen stormed the house.
They subdued three other Venezuelan men who lived there, bundled Baldallo into the back seat of a black Mitsubishi SUV and drove off.
Her captors released her near the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima, hours later.
