A Trinidad and Tobago national has been charged with sexual assault against a minor in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
A media release on July 26 from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force said Hugh Pickering, 33, appeared in court on July 24.
Pickering was granted US$5,000 bail, with a US$2,500 cash alternative.
Officers from the Safeguarding and Public Protection Unit charged Pickering on July 22 after the minor reported the alleged incident.
The police contend that the alleged offence occurred on July 20 in Providenciales.
The matter was adjourned to August 19.
No further information was given.
