Minita Shah-Mara heads the Global Diversity and Inclusion Function at Biogen.

In addition to assuring a rich mix of talent within the Biogen community, the workforce D+I programs focus on leveraging the power of differences for business impact and innovation.

Prior to joining Biogen in 2015, Minita spent a decade in the legal industry as an experienced D+I professional and attained industry recognition by both Mass Lawyers Weekly and the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Before joining Biogen, Minita held a succession of leadership positions, including head of recruitment and development of a mid-sized Northern California firm and head of D+I functions for two AmLaw100 law firms.

Minita holds a master’s degree in clinical social work from Boston University and an MBA from Babson College.
