The National Park Service’s Historically Black Colleges & Universities Grant Program (HBCU) is now accepting competitive grant applications for FY2023. HBCU grants are funded by the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) and administered by the NPS. Grants fund a broad range of pre-preservation planning activities and physical preservation work for historic structures on HBCU campuses, which are listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places or as a National Historic Landmark. Congress has appropriated $11 million for the HBCU Grant Program in FY2023.
