This past weekend, two protests were held in Dallas the day before Mother’s Day seeking to highlight violence against women. The Tigray protest on behalf of Ethiopian woman at AAC drew around 100 while two dozen people gathered outside DPD headquarters on Botham Jean Boulevard to draw attention to the deaths of Black women at the hands of the police.
