Joel Jacobson has taught language arts in the Seattle Public Schools since 2008.  He currently teaches at Nathan Hale High School where he works with a diverse population in inclusive classrooms.  He chose to teach at Nathan Hale, the school he graduated from, because of its commitment to the principles of the Coalition of Essential Schools that emphasizes educational rigor for all students in an environment of decency and trust.  He has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University.
