Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott got married on June 8, 1953, in Marion, Ala., at Coretta's parents' house. Martin's father, Reverend King, conducted the ceremony. Coretta's sister, Edith, was the maid of honor and Martin's brother, Reverend A.D. King,was the best man.
