Trinidad Eye Hospital is hosting a family fun day aimed at raising funds to provide glasses for children in need.
The event entitled Focus on the Future: Family Fun Day will be held on July 28 at the San Fernando North Community Centre, St Vincent Street, San Fernando.
The day will be packed with activities promoting health, wellness, and fun for the entire family, said a media release.
The fun day will feature a variety of engaging activities, including yoga, zumba, and aerobics classes.
Children can enjoy a bouncy castle, while adults can take part in games like mini golf, ring toss, and Jenga. To complement the active fun, healthy food and drinks will be available for purchase.
One of the highlights of the event is the free health screenings, which will be available to all those who attend. These screenings are part of the hospital's ongoing commitment to promoting eye health and preventive care in the community, the release said.
All proceeds from the event will go towards providing glasses to children who cannot afford them, helping them achieve better vision and success in school.
The initiative continues from the School Screening Project initiated in October 2023, when 280 students received free glasses through a partnership with OneSight EssilorLuxxotica Foundation.
The event starts at 1 pm.
