GUARDIAN Holdings Ltd announced it has appointed Robert Almeida chairman of its board of directors.
In a release GHL said he was appointed during a meeting on August 4.
Almeida joined the board in 2019 as an investor, business executive and director. He is a founding partner of Portland Private Equity, a leading manager of private equity funds in the Caribbean and Latin America and a director, senior vice president and portfolio manager at Portland Investment inc, a regulated investment fund manager based in Canada.
Almeida succeeds Patrick Hylton, president and group CEO of NCB Financial Group ltd. He held the role of chairman for the past two years.
