THE match between Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica in the Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Under-19 Women's T20 tournament at the Diego Martin Sporting Complex was abandoned because of rain, on Saturday.
TT were 50/4 in seven overs batting first when the match was called off.
Shalini Samaroo was unbeaten on 14 off 17 balls and Kade Wilmot already grabbed 2/17 in two overs for Jamaica.
Both teams have played at a high level during the tournament.
The only match that had a result was the contest between the US and Leeward Islands at Brian Lara Cricket Academy, in Tarouba.
USA got to a mammoth 169/2 in 17.5 overs when rain interrupted play. Leeward Islands, chasing a revised target of 169, got to 16/1 in seven overs when rain ended the match. The US won by 47 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method.
The second match at Brian Lara between Barbados and Windward Islands was also abandoned. Barbados were 6/1 after one over when the match ended.
Only one match will be played on Sunday. Leeward Islands and Jamaica will face off at the Diego Martin Sporting Complex, from 9.30 am.
