The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is making necessary changes to better its students and voted to cut one-third of LAUSD officers' school funding and reallocate the resources to supporting Black students. The board's decision to cut the police budget by $25 million this year and invest $36.5 million toward the Black student Achievement Plan (BSAP) will provide funds to 53 schools with at least 100 Black students enrolled with "high need indicators."
