The temporary ruling impacts Bexar and Dallas Counties, which defied Gov. Greg Abbott's executive order that banned localities from requiring masks. Abbott and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit to prevent Dallas County from enacting mask requirements, but an appeals court sided with Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, who approved the mandate, CBS News reported.
