Sacramento NAACP President Betty Williams says the call for change across the nation “starts right here at home.”
Calling for justice in the wake of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Sacramento NAACP, the Black American Political Association of California (BAPAC) and Be Woke.Vote join forces with other community partners on Saturday, June 6 to voice their support and call for police accountability and reform.
The groups will host a march and rally that begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento.
Participants will March at 10:00 a.m. to the West Steps of the Capitol for a program of speakers that include elected officials, area activists and community leaders.
