By: Alyssa Wilson A police officer who sent a meme showing the arrest of George Floyd to a group of his colleagues on WhatsApp has avoided termination. According to the Evening Standard, 47-year-old Sergeant Geraint Jones received a final written warning by a disciplinary group after an investigation was conducted by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). Jones admitted to the actions and was found to be guilty of breaching professional standards of authority, respect and courtesy, equality and diversity, duties and responsibilities and discreditable conduct.
