QUEEN's Hall in Port of Spain will be the venue for former calypsonian Denyse Plummer's funeral.
Tourism, Culture and the Arts Minister Randall Mitchell made that disclosure to the media after the opening of the San Fernando Parkade on Tuesday.
Plummer, 69, died of cancer on August 27.
Mitchell said agreement was reached between a representative of Plummer's family and the Government for Queen's Hall to be used for her send-off. He added that no date had been set for the service as yet.
Mitchell did not rule out the possibility of other things being done to pay lasting tribute to Plummer.
Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh, in his speech at the opening of the parkade, sent condolences to Plummer's family and friends.
He acknowledged her musical versatility and ability to transition seamlessly between musical genres.
