While local ISPs will laud the move, it could block smaller companies and slow the expansion of high-speed internet access, especially in remote areas. Smaller satellite firms like Viasat, Indigo Telecom, and NTvsat, which cumulatively have less than 1,000 subscribers, could struggle to raise the high fees.
