With reference to the announcement in Stabroek News of DDL’s ‘Demerara Rum’ gaining ‘Key EU Recognition’, I recall some time in the early 1970s when in London with my Fijian colleague, Prince Droonamisimisi, at the end of working day in the heart of the business district, visited the nearby pub.
