Silvie’s Industrial Solutions continues to suffer from the effects of flooding at their High and Hadfield streets location.
After its most recent inundation on Tuesday, Health and Safety Manager, Henry Maneiro, told Stabroek News that the business has since put measures in place to avoid major damage.
The most recent flooding saw a water level of approximately one foot.
This newspaper was told that several letters were written to the Mayor and City Council (M&CC), who did clean the alley behind the store, but Maneiro opined that more can be done, since the situation has not changed.
When contacted, M&CC Chief Engineer, Colvern Venture said the council is aware of the situation and has since looked into it.
