[Africa In Fact] On 6 July 2020, Lazarus Chakwera was inaugurated as Malawi's sixth president after winning the 2020 Malawi election, an election that was extraordinary because it was the first on the continent held as a result of a court overturning an election result. Moreover, the incumbent was defeated and stepped down.
