ON July 1, Hurricane Beryl had affected five regional corporations across Trinidad, according to the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government.
They were Diego Martin, Mayaro/Rio Claro, Sangre Grande, Tunapuna/Piarco and San Juan/Laventille.
The Sangre Grande Regional Corporation reported high winds and roof damage and the Diego Martin Borough reported one landslide.
Reports of fallen trees were widespread, with two incidents in the Mayaro/Rio Claro Corporation, four in Sangre Grande, four in Tunapuna and two in San Juan/Laventille.
The ministry also issued a river-level advisory:
– Arouca: 43 percent capacity
– El Carmen, Caroni river: 25 per cent
– North Oropouche, Toco road: ten per cent
– South Oropouche, Caroni river: 13 per cent
– Tumpuna, Caroni river: 38 per cent
