The Park Place African Methodist Episcopal Church, 215 E.10th Ave., Homestead, celebrated and honored exceptional Pittsburghers at their 15th Annual Black History Luncheon at the Comfort Inn in Penn Hills on Feb. 29.

This annual luncheon didn’t disappoint the expectant crowd of both church and civic groups that gathered from Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.

Third generation Bishop Frank Madison Reid III, who serves as the Ecumenical Officer and the Endorsing Agent for the AME Church, gave the spirited address as keynote speaker.

He is also the Presiding Prelate of the Third Episcopal District.
