The Junior Council of the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation has engineered a website that has already begun providing high-school students with study material in the lead-up to external exams.
Phase One of the project was launched earlier this week, and students sitting exams at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination levels are now able to access additional resources.
Study tips and strategies are also at their fingertips as well as information that will help them continue managing “the new life of online education”, according to youth councillor for the Red Hills Division, Tarun Chatani, who creates and designs websites.
A collaboration with the Ministry of Education and AIM Educational Services will eventually allow students access whether or not they have Internet connection.
Jonas appealed to the Ministry of Education to ensure that students are placed at the centre of all discussions regarding their education.
