The Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) has appointed a Women in Sport Commission comprising seven members of the local sports fraternity.
The objective of this Commission is in keeping with that of Panam Sports - To ensure the constant growth of women in both sport and leadership.
Some of the work will involve facilitating connections between potential players and the national associations/clubs, raising awareness of gender equality, sexual harassment in sport and anti-doping.
