Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has urged global leaders gathered at the COP26 World Leaders Summit in Glasgow to act now to deal with climate impacts. World leaders agreed in 2015 to work towards keeping global warming to 'well below two and preferably 1.5 degrees Celsius', a target that scientists say will prevent the worst climate impacts. ' We know that 1.5 degrees Celsius is still within our reach. To achieve it, we must act, and act now!,' Pierre told the Glasgow summit. 'The power to turn things around lies in our collective hands.
