Jackie Joyner-Kersee is the 2024 Salute to Excellence in Education Lifetime Achiever

The 37th Annual Salute to Excellence in Education Scholarship and Awards Gala was held Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024. This video is a tribute to the 2024 Lifetime Achiever Jackie Joyner-Kersee, an educator and an Olympian who continues to leverage her success to give back to the children and families of her native East St. Louis through the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Academy, Center, Foundation, utilizing "Winning in life" philosophy and principles.

This year's Salute to Excellence in Education gala was produced by The St. Louis American Foundation, Steward Family Foundation and World Wide Technology.
