ULLA’s 2020 Census Campaign strategy quickly adjusted canvassing and face-to-face events, pivoting to virtual efforts.
Beginning with a Digital Census Day activation, ULLA worked with over 100 partners in New Orleans and Baton Rouge by providing a digital toolkit promoting awareness through social media, emails, newsletters, phone calls, and text messaging.
In addition, ULLA reached over 25,000 families at each of the New Orleans Citywide Feeding Program locations on Census Day, providing flyers about how and why to be counted.

In addition, the Urban League of Louisiana released Reform, Recover, Re-Open: Essential Strategies for an Equitable COVID-19 Response in Louisiana to help guide efforts to increase the health and safety of the most vulnerable citizens and workers as leaders contemplate re-opening local economies.
