THREE elderly men with multiple comorbidities are the country’s latest covid19 fatalities the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
Their deaths have taken the covid19 death toll to 3,899.
The Health Ministry’s update said there are 375 new cases, taking the number of active cases to 9,509.
The new cases are taken from samples between May 21-24. The total of cases to date is 159,719, with 146,311 recovering from the virus.
The update said 40 people were discharged from hospital and 346 are no longer classed as community cases. There are four people each in the high dependency and intensive care units out of the 197 currently hospitalised.
To date, just over half the population has been vaccinated against the virus, with 712,349 receiving either a double or single-dose vaccine. Of those, 156,290 have had a booster.
