Teijah Wellington advanced to the girls' U10 singles final and doubles open semi-final, with partner Anaya Roberts, when Sagicor Junior Tennis Tournament action continued at Eddie Taylor Public Courts, Nelson Mandela Park in St Clair on Tuesday.
Wellington defeated Isabella Rambhajan 4-0, 4-1 in the singles semi-final while Rukha Campbell-Smith ousted Roberts 4-2, 4-2 in the other semi.
In the doubles quarter-final, third seeded pair Wellington/Roberts were ruthless in their 4-2, 4-1 victory over Daniel Ward and Ethan Primus.
Also earning a U10 doubles semi-final place up to press time was Kimari Felix/Riley Smith, who defeated Daniel Collymore/Jelani Flermius 2-4, 4-1, 11/9.
The boys' U10 final will see top seed Cruz Thornton face second seed Daniel Collymore. Thornton came up trumps against Nicholas Mc Letchie 4-2, 4-1 while Collymore beat Felix 4-2, 4-1.
The boys' U12 singles final will feature top seed Novak Malcolm up against Ryan Steuart. Malcolm trumped unseeded Eli Paty 4-0, 4-1 while Steuart pulled off an upset victory over second seed Justin Duncan, winning 5-3, 4-1.
In the boys' U10 division two singles semis, Daniel Ward will face Daniel Collymore in the title match. Ward got past Adam Nepaul 6-3 while Collymore beat Felix 4-2, 4-1.
