Police have confirmed the death of a teenager after a Nissan Tiida plunged over a precipice along the La Toc Road, Castries, about 8:15 pm Tuesday. Law enforcement officials identified the deceased as 18-year-old Owen J. Emmanuel of Pavee, Castries. Another male, said to have been the vehicle's driver at the time of the accident, was hospitalised. The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) says an ambulance and a fire truck from their headquarters in Castries responded to a call for help and, on arrival on the scene, used a rescue basket to hoist the two male occupants of the vehicle
