HAMBANTOTA, Sri Lanka, CMC – Andre Russell’s two-wicket burst in the 16th over turned the game on its head and propelled Colombo Kings to a narrow six-run victory over Johnson Charles’s Jaffna Stallions in the Sri Lanka Premier League here yesterday.
Chasing 174 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Stallions were on course for the win on 125 or four with Pakistani Shaoib Malik (29) and Thisara Perera (22) involved in an ominous looking 34-run fifth wicket stand.
