Princes Town municipal police, together with members of the Municipal Police Academy, held a road traffic exercise on Wednesday when they issued a total of 15 fixed-penalty notices for various offences.
The exercise occurred between 2.30 pm-5.30 pm in the Princes Town district. The police and trainees paid particular attention to Buen Intento Road, near the public market, High Street, and Naparima Mayaro Road near the stockpile.
Snr Supt Belford led the exercise, which ASP Guzman co-ordinated. Acting Insp Morris-Garcia, acting Sgt Garib, Cpl Khan and acting Cpls Joseph and Ali supervised it.
Apart from fixed-penalty notices issued, the police completed nine stop-and-search forms.
The police searched several vehicles and people, and nothing illegal was found.
