New York state plans to allocate $2.1 billion to a fund that would help undocumented workers hurt by the pandemic. As part of the $212 billion 2022 budget deal, the state would give one-time payments of up to $15,600 to hurt workers who weren't eligible for federal relief because of their undocumented status. Almost 300,000 people may be eligible, Yahoo Money reported.
