Networking events can be challenging for Black people and minorities due to unconscious bias and lack of representation, but by setting clear objectives, crafting an elevator pitch, doing research, practicing active listening, focusing on quality connections, using social media, following up after the event, attending workshops and sessions, and being genuine, individuals can boost their confidence and effectiveness at these events.
