This week, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and the City of Minneapolis kicked off the #MaskUpMPLS campaign to promote awareness and encourage compliance of the city’s new policy requiring cloth face-coverings or masks in indoor spaces of public accommodation, effective Tuesday, May 26.
This weekend, the social media campaign will begin promoting a mask-drive.
Minneapolis residents can deliver homemade masks to their local fire station from 10 am to 2 pm on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25.
The City plans to distribute the donated masks throughout Minneapolis to residents, organizations, and businesses that are most in need, including food shelves, congregate living facilities, small corner stores, and shelters.
