A WOMAN handed over her teenage son to the police on July 24 after she found he had clothes she had not bought for him.
The 16-year-old boy is suspected to have been involved in a housebreaking and larceny in D’Abadie.
In a news release on July 25, police said the victim reported to police that around 7 am on July 24, she locked her home at Maloney Gardens, D’Abadie, and went out.
When she came home around 4.30 pm, she found the back door open and some of her son's clothes missing.
The release said around 11.25 pm, another woman contacted the Maloney Police Station and told police her son had clothing that did not belong to him.
Police arrested the 16-year-old and took him to the station along with the clothes.
There, the victim and her son identified the clothes as the ones taken from their home.
Investigations are ongoing.
