[Afropop] Deborah Kapchan is a professor of Performance Studies at New York University, and the principle voice for Afropop Worldwide's Hip Deep program, Traveling Spirit Masters: The Gnawa of Morocco. Professor Kapchan has been doing research in Morocco since 1990.
