Small minority-owned businesses in America, particularly in black and other minority communities, are suffering from the effects of the pandemic, rising crime rates, and sluggish recovery due to local governments' indifference to their plight; in order to protect small businesses and enable them to recover, local governments must acknowledge the harm caused and implement policies that safeguard businesses from damage while allowing police to do their job.
