DOUBLE World Championship medallist Jereem Richards and two-time Olympic medallist Keshorn Walcott will lead a 16-member Trinidad and Tobago team to Budapest, Hungary for the World Athletics Championships. The competition gets under way from August 19-27.
Richards, 29, is enjoying a good start to his season and will compete in the men's 400m event and the 4x400m relay, alongside Asa Guevara, the experienced Renny Quow, Joshua St Clair and Shakeem McKay.
Walcott, who boasts an Olympic gold, Pan Am gold, World Junior gold and Commonwealth silver, is still searching for his first medal at the World Championships. At 30, Walcott will be keen to give his all and add the only missing silverware from his illustrious cabinet.
National sprint queen Michelle-Lee Ahye, 31, and Leah Bertrand of Simplex will fly the flag in the women's 100m event and 4x100m relay.
