It’s not that the incarcerated family member doesn’t understand…its just hard to accept given the facility they are in and the risk of said place. The system is not made to rehabilitate the inmate nor support the family [who has committed no crime] which could aid in the rehabilitation of the inmate. Instead, the prison system aids in breaking everything it can.
