As part of a recent internal review last week, HISD discovered a technical error that resulted in approximately 4,000 employees, mostly teachers and assistant principals, being overpaid on their paychecks thus far during the 2024-2025 school year. We immediately worked to understand the extent of the issue. HISD has now notified all impacted employees and plans to recoup the overpayment amount in equal installments over the remaining contract year. 'Ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time is a top priority for Superintendent Miles, myself, and the entire HISD Human Resources team, said Chief Human Resources Officer Jessica Neyman.
