Camsel to launch Manifestations of Faith - Trinidad and Tobago Newsday

The RC Archdiocese of Port of Spain has released its first publication by Catholic Media Services Ltd (Camsel), the communications arm of the RC Archdiocese, titled Manifestations of Faith.

The publication is a tribute to the timeless beauty and spiritual significance embodied by churches and chapels within the archdiocese, a media release said.

Manifestations of Faith captures the stories of the preservation and restoration of ten churches and three chapels, several of which are recognised as properties of interest by the National Trust, the release said.

The book's launch will take place from 5-7.30 pm on March 16, at Archbishop's House, 27 Maraval Road, Port of Spain. The public and Catholic faithful are invited to attend. Those attending can both explore the pages of the publication and also engage with the collaborators behind its creation.

Brian Lewis, architographer; Robert Clarke, author; Melanie Archer, graphic designer and recipient of the 2024 Gold American Advertising Awards (ADDY), along with the dedicated personnel of the archdiocese, will be present to share their experiences and personally sign copies, the release said.

Archbishop Charles Jason Gordon, in the foreword, emphasises the book's deeper purpose: "...these churches and chapels; we believe they are fine examples of beauty and art which represent the desire of our soul to transcend and ultimately to reach God."

Manifestations of Faith cost $300 and is available at Archbishop's House; Con Brio, 4 Kavanagh Street, St Clair; Living Water Community Bookshop, 109 Frederick Street, Port of Spain; Paper Based Book Shop, 14 Alcazar Street, St Clair. Online purchases can be made via Unqueue.shop.
