A main thoroughfare in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood resembled a war zone Saturday, with protesters reportedly throwing rocks, bottles, liquid-filled balloons, fireworks and other explosives at police officers, who responded with pepper spray, sponge grenades and blast balls to disperse the crowds.
