Thirteen days after he was shot to death by sheriff’s deputies, seeking to arrest him, over 500 friends and family attended the May 3 funeral of Andrew Brown Jr., in Elizabeth City, N.C.
Two nationally known civil rights leaders , Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. William Barber II, eulogized Brown at the Fountain of Life Church in Elizabeth City, defining the importance of his death.
