Council member Andre Dickens released the following statement on Friday night’s Atlanta Police Department shooting:
“I am saddened to start this day with the news of another black person killed by the police, and especially dismayed to see it happen in our city.
The Atlanta City Council is the chief policy-making body for the City of Atlanta.
The Atlanta City Council reviews and has final say on many land-use and zoning matters.
