Luanda — Angolan Journalists Union (SJA) criticised Sunday the decision of the Media Nova Group to suspend the employment contract of some professionals in the State of Emergency (EE) period.
According to the Union leader, several professionals linked to Media Nova saw their employment contract suspended, for alleged financial grounds.
According to the source, it is not a question of dismissals, but of a temporary suspension of contracts, a measure that was being considered before the emergence of the covid-19 and the EE.
"We think the managers of Media Nova have taken rush decision," said the Union leader.
ANGOP's effort to contact the Board of Directors of the Media Nova business group for further detail, until Sunday night, proved futile.
