The Government of Barbados is working toward establishing an agency that will give manufacturing businesses easier access to financing to expand their operations.Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology Davidson Ishmael made the disclosure on Thursday, saying Government was working on a host of partnerships and policies aimed at bolstering the sector.Among them is a new export credit agency.“Our hope is that financing will no longer be a barrier to businesses when seeking to expand into regional and international markets,” Ishmael said during the awards and dinner ceremony at Sandals Royal for this year’s Barbados Manufacturers’ Association’s Trade & Innovation Summit Expo.
