The attacks were blamed on Israel as they mainly targeted members of Lebenaese militant group Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas in the Gaza war. At the request of Lebanon, Algeria has called for an emergency meeting of the Security Council set to take place this Friday (Sep. 18)
