The St Lucia Employers’ Federation (SLEF) is taking a significant step to support businesses in the South by hosting its first-ever meeting in that region, focusing on the impact of the recently implemented minimum wage on local enterprises. The January 28 event in Vieux Fort, themed ‘The Impact of Minimum Wage Implementation’, will provide a platform to address challenges and opportunities stemming from the policy introduced on October 1, 2024.  It also marks the start of SLEF’s initiative to engage directly with Southern-based businesses and provide tailored support, according to the Federation’s Executive Director, Cornelia Jn Baptiste. “The decision to
