The D.C. Council is set to vote on the Secure DC Omnibus Bill, which includes provisions that allow police officers to engage in vehicular pursuits and review body-worn camera footage in misconduct cases, as well as new firearm offenses, increased sentences for firearm possession, and an expansion of pretrial detention for adults and juveniles accused of committing a violent crime.
